Not My Aunt™€™s Electric Stove

I can remember using my Aunt™€™s electric stove as a child and burning myself. Not today. I have been using a gas stove for years and finally turned to electric. It™€™s fast, controlled heat. Easy to clean cooktop. Looks seamless with my counter top and I love that it doesn™€™t have that bulky back. This has been a great transition!

Less than 30 days of buying this range , something started smelling of burnt wires or plastic. Had to have house air evacuated due to fumes that we were told may be toxic. Called Frigidaire, have to wait a week to have somebody come out to tell us its ™€œin-serviceable™€! It™€™s unplugged and waiting in the garage for them to come get it.

Attractive range and looks nice in my kitchen, however there are a few drawbacks. The open slots or vents on the front of the oven door can be dangerous. I cut my finger pretty badly on the edge of the opening while wiping it down. Also, for some reason the right front eye gets really hot even when I have it on level 2. I have to be careful when I use this one so that my food doesn't burn. I purchased this range because of the steam clean function. I prefer this over the self cleaning ovens. Guess I'm just old school.

Oven Stopped Working within 1.5 year

We bought this in late 2021. We use the stove top a lot without issues but have only used the oven maybe 5 times since purchased and it already stopped working completley (onlt the stove top works). This is completely unacceptable for such a new appliance. It's also very dififucult to accertain what part is needed (themal switch) and what exact part fits this model withinout paying $150+ for someone to come out and look at it. I need Fridgeaur to reach out to me ASAP to solve this problem.

I do like it. It took a little getting use to, but performs well with boiling water, warming, sauces and baking. I switched from a gas range, partly out of moving away from a fossil fuel energy source but also for better air quality in our kitchen. Our previous Frigidaire Gallery range last 22 years. I've always been impressed with the quality of Electrolux products. The knobs for the range top are a must. Nice looking as well.

I bought this range for looks and price. I didn't need a range with all the bells and whistles and this range more than fits the bill. I was surprised at how fast the dual element brought water to a boil and am as pleased with the oven as I was with my old propane range. I would definitely buy another Frigidair product.

We wanted a good quality range without a ton of extra bells and whistles. This Frigidaire seems to do that pretty well. Four burners and simple front panel controls for oven. Burner knobs are at the front (not on top), which is what we wanted. It also came with a rear trim kit, which was essential for covering up the rear gap. Also has a bottom storage drawer, which was a must for us. So far, it has all worked well.

disappointed and frustrated

We have had this range for over a year and I am extremely disappointed with it. Every single time we bake a pizza in it there is a horrible odor. It smells like chemicals. The smell fills our house and lingers in the air for days. I have used the self-cleaning feature twice but it hasn't helped. I wrote a review here and contacted customer support but no one ever responded. I am frustrated and ready to get rid of this thing!

This unit replaced a well-used GE standard ceramic top range that gave over 20 years of excellent service. We like this Frigidaire even better due to efficient burner size/layout, quick boil feature and a bigger oven window/improved interior lighting. The ceramic top seems more substantial too, especially after cleaning it with an appropriate product. We're a wee bit concerned it won't go the same distance without repairs, especially given how the controls work for the timer/oven. Let's hope it lasts 'cause we really like cooking on it!

the unit came and one of the burners did not work at all, it was one of the back burners so we didnt pay it very much attention but it is still disgraceful that such a unit would be sent out without being tested. the peels on it were also impossibly difficult to take off all the way so there are still little pieces of shipping plastic that you cannot pull off on it. besides that the burners are not very powerful, contrary to what you would expect from an electric stove and the burners do not like up with the indicator lines on the glass top. overall, pretty disappointed in unit, might just send it back.

I bake and cook a lot and have been very happy with this stove so far (we have had it for ~1 month so far). Baking has been good/consistent, and cooking on top has also been good! The top does get dirty looking but is easy to clean off-this was a concern for us and it hasn't been an issue so the reviews that say that it's hard to clean or never looks clean I think just aren't using a razor blade and the cleaning solution to wipe it (~1/week, I promise it's nothing crazy!). Good pick overall.

I purchased this appliance and within two months of doing so the ™€œhot burner™€ light turned on and won™€™t come off. Everything else works well and I™€™m covered under a one year purchase warranty for now but I™€™m worried that more stuff with go wrong after that and I™€™ll be out of luck.
