Big disappointment but redeemed!

When our dishwasher arrived it didn't work at all. Had Pierattes come and check it out. Opened the front cover to find one electric plug completely unplugged and four bare wires from another plug just laying naked against the insulation. Had to order new wiring harnasses but when repaired it workd great. Makes you wonder how this one got operationally checked at the factory, doesn't it.

I expected more…

To be honest, I expected to be "wowed" by this dishwasher. The overall function of having clean dishes in my home is successful but if I went back in time, I probably would not purchase again. Pro: it is very, very quiet. Most times, we cannot tell when a cycle is running or not. Cons: the lower rack spikes to hold the plates/pans are SO short. Anything that is not a plate just falls over and cannot find support to "prop" it. I have no complaints about the second rack unless the third rack is installed. Currently, the third rack sits in the closet because if it is in place, I cannot fit bowls or glasses on the second rack. I likely just purchased an over-accessorized dishwasher for our needs as we use only normal cycle... and could have gotten by with a much simpler model.

Love my new Bosch Dishwasher

I have been a longtime Miele customer, and when I needed a new dishwasher, the repairman recommended a Bosch. I was hesitant, but took the leap on his recommendation. I absolutely love it. Recently our local water was compromised, and we were told to boil it before using....the problem lasted a week. I was so glad to use the "sanitize" on my Bosch, and not worry about using dishes that were washed in that water. I can fit a lot in it, love the utensil tray on top, and the versatility of moving the other dish racks. I am one happy customer.

Not quite what I expecting...

I might have been over expecting, as I thought Bosch was the best dishwasher you can buy. But as it turns out, I am a little bit disappointed. It's sort of just a typical dishwasher.... The dishwasher did not come with an owner's manual. I had to go back to the dealer who printed it off the internet... The drying crystals although probably work ok, but many of the glasses, dishes and bowls (especially in the upper racks) are a little wet especially in the ridges... The diswasher is quiet but when dumping the water after a cycle, the gushing water is really disturbing. And according to your manual, if you rinse the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher you only need to check the filter a few times a year. We end up cleaning it out every couple of weeks. Didn't need to clean the filter on the Frigidaire (it didn't even have a filter). Lastly, the Bosch does seem to clean the dishes and glasses well (pots & pans questionable) but I have yet to do a really full load.

The worst aspect of this dishwasher is that is it a puzzle to load - every time. I like puzzles, but the jigsaw and crossword kind. It does get a bit easier, though. However, it cleans BEAUTIFULLY every time, and that is what is most important after all.

Not as versatile as I thought it would be. Dish racks look plentiful, but can't fit bowls, various dishes and containers in the racks... constantly trying to find the 'right place' to put things. Interior looks great, but not customer friendly. Plus selections of cycles is very difficult to use. once a setting is made, can't cancel it and switch to another setting. It is, though, very quiet.

I have always loved Bosch dishwashers & paid the extra money for the quality. This one I don't like. The Crytal Dry has damaged some items, the interior stainless door is stained with something (& we don't have water quality issues) & they say not to rinse dishes before you put them in there, but then the dishwasher stinks AND the dried off stuff does not always come off very well.

I LOVE this dishwasher!

This Bosch dishwasher is a game changer in the kitchen. I can load so many more plates and bowls than in my old, other brand. The 3rd rack on top is awesome for lids, ramekins, serving utensils, and other odds and ends that I would have previously hand washed just to save room for the bigger stuff. When I first got it, my kids and I would "challenge" the dishwasher to see just how dirty of a dish would actually come out clean. The Bosch impressed us every time except one melamine knife that had too big of a blob of peanut butter on it. The dishes always come out sparkling clean and dry! My wine glasses are cradled in the special stem holder, so they don't bob around and crack, and they come out without etching or hard water stains. (I add rinse-aid.) And, of course, I love the renowned quietness of it. No whirring, grinding, humming like my old one. Love the red light so I know when it's still running. Thank you, Bosch, for making my kitchen clean up so much better. Whew! Oh, P.S., I like this recessed handle. I don't have to worry about the handle bar matching (or not) my other appliances.

While the unit looks nice with my other appliances in the kitchen it does not do a very good job cleaning or drying our dishes. We only use Finish Powerball Quantum soap and finish jet dry our dishes look HORRIBLE!!!! they are always still completely wet after the dry cycle. I will say that it's nice that you can't hardly hear it when it's running.

This is great dishwasher. It has great space. We can get 12 place settings in the dishwasher and are usually running the dishwasher because we are out of clean dishes and not because the dishwasher is full. It runs extremely quiet and the dishes are always clean and dry when the cycle is finished.

Efficient, but not perfect

Does a great job washing and drying, including pots and pans. However, occasionally, we have a problem getting it to start the wash. We have to turn off the power at the fuse box, then reset it and restart, sometimes several times before it will restart properly.
